Eco Friendly / Sustainable Venues

What is an ‘Eco Friendly’ or ‘Sustainable’ venue?

We at Venue Master UK Ltd believe that more and more clients are now expecting and supporting venues that have sound policies regarding preserving the environment with new venues this may start with the design and construction perhaps by using recycled, renewable and local materials – wood of course being a major component as well as reduced water consumption.  When considering the power supply it would be sensible wherever possible to use 100% renewable Ecotricity whereby a computerised Building Management System can control the heating and natural cooling process for best effiency.

The design can also include making the most of natural daylight, passive ventilation and excellent insultation.

Catering should utilise local produce and specialise in seasonal cuisine to make it most effective.

If you are keen to promote a GREEN EVENT this may involve organising as much as you can electronically, minimising carbon emissisions for travelling delegates and speakers, saving energy, recycling as much as possible (delegate badges etc.)and adopt thoughtfull measures whever practical and possible,
